Ive been gone for a while because I wasn't sure what to write about and I was tired of blathering on about noting Ive picked my mountain to die on. It will be the mountain of environmentalism . Daytona 500

Well that was a show. The Daytona 500 race was definitely a show for fans it was the race that just kept giving and giving and giving. Six hours of racing and delays and just about the time you decided to switch channels bang someone runs into the back of the jet dry truck. I mean what are the chances that a car would come in on a yellow flag get serviced and checked out, go back out just make it in to high gear have something break spin out slid up the track right in the middle of the highest banked part of the track in between the jet dry truck and the safety truck following it and hit the jet dryer making it explode and opening up a hole in its fuel tank "200 gal" and burst into flames casing a 10 min fire flowing down the track and everyone walked a way, and they even got the race going again to finish the 500 miles. It was worth watching just for that. Smoking Dan.

I've been seeing the new VW ad, the one at the end with the guy and the baby. This has got to be the most melon headed baby I've ever seen, it looks like if you took one of those personal watermelons painted it pink and used a Mr. Potato head kit. We always seem to celebrate these people after their dead, or should I say after they have killed themselves. Be it Hendrix, Joplin, Cass, Morison, Cobain, Winehouse, and now Houston. Sorry For any miss spellings. All of these people are losers that took a God given talent and wasted it with drugs and alcohol, they are not to be looked up to, maybe felt sorry for wasting it all. The river.

The River is a new show set in the amazon their looking for this guy, with a adventure show that went missing. You've got the family some friends and other assorted people, even one that's hired and should know what he's doing. So far they've spent more time walking back to the boat then they have going out into the bush? At this rate all their going to do is wear a really good path in to the jungle. Its like every show lets see just how messed up they can get themselves its like a cross between fear factor and survivor with really crappy photography, hey I've got an idea maybe now that their all blind just let them all die, then you can start over with a new bunch of dumb asses and just keep doing that for a season or two? Well I was at the store the other day and down at the end of the isle what did I find? A big old pile of 100 year birthday Oreo's, and I don't know what they made the stuffing from taste wise but they are really great! Not just really good but really great! Can't believe my eyes.

I was watching GBTV the other night and I could not believe my eyes. It was the show on the border beheadings, dismemberments, skinings. I wish every adult in this country could have been made to see this, because if that happened there would be no more discussions about our southern border. Why are these pictures not shown before congress and the senate every day until this is stopped and this is not a democrat or republican, a left or right thing this is an EVIL thing that we are allowing to happen and should be ashamed as a nation for allowing this to go on call your representatives now and stop this! My oldest son came down today and we went out to lunch and then to the V.A. and we had a great time out there (except he broke the wheel on my oxygen cart LOL) then we went and got all the stuff to put in my new water heater, and he installed it, and we went shopping. I was reading over the weekend that the occupiers are back in the news. WHAT A BUNCH OF DOPEY BASTARDS! This bunch of losers needs to be dealt with. Pulling weeds.

I read an article today about is the taking of life being morally wrong, and the view was not if the life in their option  being taken was not worth living in their option. In fact they actually compared it to pulling weeds in a garden. Well I might not be the smartest person in the room, but even I can answer this one. Who the hell do these people think they are? And what do they think gives them the right to make decisions like this? Yes its immoral to end "murder" a life just because you don't think a life is worth living! These people are Nazi's! The new SS.

I was reading an article yesterday about how the feds and the DHS want to get in to our local and state police, local and state police should stay just that, local and state! Although that's not what I really wanted to get into it did remind me of something I've noticed for a number of years, police uniforms. I remember when you could line up a bunch of police and tell where most of them were from just by the look of the uniforms and I think the departments had great pride in these different uniforms, the thing I've noticed is more and more have gone to these tactical uniforms, the ones that look a lot like something military special operations personal would wear, or a modern day SS uniform. Now between that and the German police dogs I've seen. A set of SS bars on the collars would not look out of place, unfortunately. I truly hope and pray that is not where this is going. Smoking Dan.

To Chuck Norris.

I was reading an article the other day from Chuck Norris about how we should forgive and forget Newt Gingrich's marital indiscretions. WHAT! I guess we now know what Chuck Norris is afraid of. He even tried to quote the Old Testament as an excuse. Chuck have some faith in Gods word and this country. This is how evil works, it gives you a choice of the lesser of two evils, but remember your still voting for evil no matter how small! Remember this little indiscretion didn't happen once or even twice but three times and yet you think you can trust this man? If he will lie to God  three times how do you think you can trust him to take an oath before God for the presidency? Remember Jesus forgave but then said go and sin no more. How can we be a moral country if we keep electing immoral people to run it? I know people are afraid of this election and believe that Obama is the worst president ever, but if we continue there will be someone in our future even worse. I was listening to some of the conservative talk shows yesterday and all I herd was how everyone was so bad for pointing out Newt's past well I can think of at least 3 times he has taken an oath before God and gone back on his oath. What makes anyone think if he takes one more that that will work no I think he has shown he can't be trusted which makes me wonder why he's even being considered. It seems there are just as many conservatives  ready to sell out what they supposedly stand for as the lib's. Its not whats best for the country, its win at any cost. If you study history this is the same type of thing that brought Hitler to power. Yes win at any cost. Smoking Dan.

You know when you watch TV or the movies and you see  a product it's no accident if its Coke, 7up, Bud, or any other product from cars to cereals they just don't do anything by accident and neither do the networks so when you see something you can believe its because that's exactly the way they planned and want it. You by this time wonder so whats the point? We live in the United States of America. Not the united states of america. The reason I'm pointing this out is I was watching a show on WGN this morning, not wgn. but if you look at their logo WGN america to me this shows the disrespect that has become so common in this country, just something to think about the next time you see something like this. Puppies

I came up with a saying when I was a young man and credited it to my grandfather cuz sayings by younger people are not given as much weight as with older people. The saying was "a puppy doesn't mind getting its tail swatted for making a mess on the floor but they draw the line at having their nose rubbed in it". This saying came about when my ex wife ask me if  I was having an affair, cuz she knew something was going on, this was the swat on the tail. I told her no because to tell her the truth would have been rubbing her nose in it. And had we stayed married I would have taken it to my grave. The thing is over the years I found this saying worked for so many things through out life that now I'm giving it to all to use. Smoking Dan.

Mitt, Newt, Obama. What can I say. Someone once said we get the government we deserve. 360 million people in this country and this is it, wheres that box for none of the above? And don't even say Ron Paul. We could have done better throwing a hand full of rocks and just seeing who got hit. Not one of these people should be the leader of the most powerful country of the world. I wouldn't buy a used car from anyone of them! I almost think Obama is the best choice, cuz its going to go to hell with any of the above, at least that way the Dem's would get the blame. Yea I know I'm an old white guy, what would I know. Well I lived though those times. At first it was kind of weird cuz I was born and raised you see in the northwest and we really didn't have the problems up here in Washington state that they had down south. Most of what we saw was on the TV, it was like watching riots in other countries. I remember I had colored friends from grade school through high school, my parents to had colored friends they came over for nights of playing music or playing cards you know the stuff adults got together and did. Oh and coloreds were any one not white, not something bad! In fact most of the people up here never thought much about it. Then I went in the service and was stationed down south and I have to say it was a different world! They had different restaurants, bathrooms and drinking fountains, it was like what? It didn't seem to make much sense. I found out when I went to Vietnam It didn't matter what the color of your skin was as long as the people around you could be trusted to cover your back and you could be trusted to cover theirs. I found out we were all the same color on the in side especially when those insides were spread all over the ground. You see I lost a lot of friends of a lot of different colors and I think of them all the same they were good and brave friends, you see I didn't judge them by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. As you get older.

As you get older I think you appreciate things more cuz more and more stuff makes you mad. If your old or getting there how many times have you found yourself saying "when the hell did they do that?" Evertime I turn around I find stuff has changed and most of the time not for the better, most of the time its something where we lose some more of our freedoms. My father was in the second world war and I ask him what the difference between us and the Nazis"s was. He told me that in Nazi Germany you could be stopped at any time and asked to show your papers to prove who you are but that could never happen in America. Smoking Dan.

Eden PURE 2

Well after almost 60 days I sent the unit back. I had it in a 9'X12' room and it just didn't make it any warmer not even 2 degrees over the thermostat setting, and after a month I got the electric bill looks like about $1.00/1.50 per day. It also picked up a funny vibration in the fan? Oh well to bad. Smoking Dan.

Lohan/ Playboy

Well after seeing the Playboy lay out of Lindsay Lohan, and I do mean "layout" one good thing I can say is that they made it look nothing like Lindsay Lohan  between makeup and air brushing I'm not sure who she does look like but its not the sickly drugged out rode hard and put to bed wet woman we've been seeing for the last several years. so good job Playboy. Guns, Guns, Guns

Hey people we did good according to the FBI there were over 1.5 million back ground checks in December and over 500,000 in the last 6 days of December all I can say is good job and lets shoot for 2 million for January. Smoking Dan.

100 watt light bulbs

I don't know about any one else but I used to go through about 3-4 of these a week? Tried the good ones and the cheep ones turn them one 3-4 times and poof their burned out. So I finally turned to the CFL's With their slow start up and yellow light till they really get going, but they did last. Until just lately a friend told me about these 100 Watt bulbs that he had and they had been in for months with out burning out. He had got these bulbs t the local $1.00 store, seems these bulbs are made for the China market I've now been using them for over two months and no burn outs.
